09 king quad, no pull start
#11
I have the King and numerous times (usually of my own doing) I've needed the pull start. Leaving the heated grips on accidentally, mud hole issues (battery died while pulling the King from a mudpit using the winch). It's not bad to pull if you follow the instructions. Not fun either, but doable.
So yes...it's still good to have the pull start even on EFI machines.

Hey SBuckJ,
Pardon the noob question, but I noticed your tag line "automatics are for sissies" and saw the '07 KQ700. Then I see the EPI clutch kit and wonder "is this a mod to fit the 27" Zillas on the auto or is there a mod to make an auto a manual?" It was the only real reservation I had about getting the KQ 450 (also a '07). For a few reasons, not the least of which was to begin to teach my daughter to shift a manual transmission. Albeit, I expect, just like in a truck, the auto is way easier to plow snow with, and that is the real reason to get the quad for me, at least on the record! If you can change the auto to a manual, is it a crazy big $$$ job?
