Default lt80 front brake

I am trying to fix non working front brakes (purchased this way so I don't know what the issue is)...

The right front brake works but the left front brake didn't have an adjuster. I purchased an adjuster and have it installed but the adjuster is almost all the way out just to get the cable to react to the level pull... I think the cable may be stretched... does this require a new cable and is this type of thing fairly common?

Anyone?

It appears to be installed correctly but is about an inch too long to work properly

You didn't say how old the machine is. Sounds like a stretched cable. They aren't too bad on ebay.

You can adjust the cable at the wheel too.

try pushing the leaver at the wheel and see if the thing for some odd reason needs new pads on just the one side. the leaver is where u adjust it anyway

Actually, you adjust at the lever and the handlebar.
