it is sad when name calling can stall out what is an excellent thread.
Play nice.
You are right, I should'nt be name calling. I just have an issue with riding with no gear. It is a good thread though.

There is no way to price these anymore. I got my 89 quadracer for 300$ but had to drive 250 miles one way. Guess if you want one bad enough it don't matter how much you paid because you got it.

I own a 1988 and a 1985 LT250r. I bought the 1988 fully rebuilt with mair plastics for $1100, the 1985 still had original plastics that had been fiber glassed for a repair job then spray painted for $100. Both bikes however run like raped apes although the 88 has been fully ported and polished and creates much more pucker factor at higher speeds as it has the ability to pull wheelies in 5th gear on the shift without any help from the rider.

IMO if you are happy with what you paid and your happy with the bike, then you paid the proper amount and got a good deal.

Nice! I like it.
You & I will have to agree to disagree on the gear issue then.
I will wear a helmet on rare ocassions...the other 99.9% of the time I wear gloves, glasses/goggles & steel toe / steel shank ankle boots (no nerf bars).
I would encourage every one to wear a helmet at all times...but it's no skin off my hide if they don't. At a certain point of maturity, we all know right from wrong and how we apply that knowledge is a matter of personal choice....well, that's my 2 cents anyway

Unhappy

SOLD $1,200

I want to cry though, the kid that bought it right off the bat mixed 200ml of 20-50w into a gallon and ran it....death revved on him I assume that much of that heavy oil built tremendous pressure in the head and blew the rings or gaskets.

Did you try opening a new thread instead of hi-jacking mine? Says you have made 1 post...did you even READ this thread? This exact problem already happened and was repaired here but you obviously found a title and posted.
