I had an over flow problem so when I removed the carb to clean it I saw that the floats were crushed so I ordered new floats and reassembled the carb but still had the over flow problem so what i would like to do is make sure the float height is correct but I don't know what the measurment is or from where I have to measure it.

Have you ever took a Beer bottle cap or a Coke cap , put it between your thumb and finger knucker and bent it like a clam? well that's what each of them looked like, No joke Brother, that's what it looked like to me. Left it with a home base shop to clean the carbs, when I got it home and went to start it, it puttered and gas just poured out the carb. I'd like to fix it myself, this way I know it was done right with the help of some honest people of this forum. Thanks If you can help, if not , Thanks anyway.

I copied this from another source, so I can't say it's right. But it's worth a try till you get the height confirmed.

"Float height should be between 12 and 14 mm while the float arm is just contacting the needle valve.
I measued 13 mm on a business card and cut the 13mm strip to hold it up against it while I checked it"

I'm not sure how they measured that, but that seems way off to me. Still checking other places.

Edit: Could be right. I'm thinking of gap on a carb and not height.

Does the new float have a metal tab of plastic?
I doubt there is a adjustment.
I hold the carb and blow thru the fuel supply tube and work the float to see if it shuts the airflow off.
I'd pay special attention to the needle and seat area.

After working on them for 19 years, I just got a LT80 book. It came with a machine I just bought....
Sorry no Z50 book.
