Default 1999 Suzuki King Quad Runner bogging on throttle

I had bought a 1999 king runner 300 for $300 bucks from a buddy of mine. He said it didn’t run so I took it to my house. Bought a new battery and it started right up but died. Then would slowly get to the point where it wouldn’t start at all. I have let one of my co workers rebuild the original carb for it. But a guy I had look at it said it was missing components. So he bought a $140 aftermarket carb and I ordered a fuel pump and slapped it all on. Will idle but doesn’t take throttle.
I have
1. Cleaned gas take for trash
2. Cleaned pecock
3. Blew trash out of fuel and vacuum lines.
4. Replaced fuel pump
5. Replaced carb
6. Adjusted carb.
But Iv had this project for almost 6 months now and I’m making no progress on getting this thing to riding status. Is there any tips or suggestions on what to do next? It would really help!

Check compression, though that usually makes them bad to start but run reasonably. I did have an Eiger that had been laid up outside for 2 years due to excessive piston wear. Once re-bored and rebuilt it wouldn't rev. After checking everything and cleaning the carb several times, we found the exhaust was completely blocked. Must have occurred during the lay up, rodents? Nothing, including setting the silencer on fire, would shift the blockage so we fitted a new silencer.

How would I check it’s compression, when I got it almost 6 months ago it had only been sitting for 4 weeks the guy said he had gotten a dirt bike and didn’t ride the Quad much then it randomly had stopped running but it was mostly due to the battery being shot. After I replaced the battery it had ran fine and I was able to do a few laps around the yard but it’s now to the point where it won’t see throttle. But I have not checked the exhaust yet would I check it straight from the engine for blockage or at the end of the pipe?

To be accurate you need a compression gauge to check compression, rough guide is plug out, press thumb over plug hole, press starter and see if it blows pressure past your thumb. If it does, it should have enough compression to run OK. Long time since I worked on a pre Eiger Suzuki but would have thought removing silencer and seeing if you get instant improvement would have been the best idea. Take care hot gasses don't melt the plastics.

Eigers had a problem with magnets coming loose on the flywheel, don't know if earlier bikes were the same, this caused all sorts of strange running problems if you were lucky, if you were unlucky, a magnet jammed into the stator and smashed magnets and stator wiring, almost impossible to get all the magnetic shrapnel out of the cases and a new stator and flywheel is expensive.
