Eiger - ignition problems
#1
Pulling my hair out.
2004 Eiger. Started, ran for a minute and backfired. Flywheel magnets came loose and damaged stator. Replaced flywheel, stator and ignition coil. Am getting power to the plug. Plug tester light seems to flash very slowly and dimmer than when I test another bike. Turns over, but will not attempt to start even with ether. Any ideas? Could it be the rectifier? Had such high hopes last night when I put it all back together. Thanks for any advice.

Take the plug out and check if you are getting a spark at the plug itself. Fit a new plug anyway. Also check the TDC mark is at TDC by the piston, it is possible for the flywheel key to move out of place as you fit the flywheel, putting the ignition timing out.
