You seem to be very up to speed on atvs. I also own a 400ex a raptor and a quadzilla. You have already replied to one of my post about it but I have decided to just start from scratch. I was just wanting to know what to do and if you know who I should get to do the work. I have been unsuccessful trying to find anyone local who knows anything about the quadzilla, and the beast is differant than anything else I have ever owned also. I dont want anything to radical I just want to know any weak spots that should be improved upon and what parts seem to work best on it ex.pipes carb and such. I am planning a total rebuild and porting though. I would really appreciate your advice. thanks

Honda man,
Well I see we have very similar tastes in equipment. As for weakness, the one you hear the most about is the head gasket, i have never blown one in 14 years but i check the torque on my motor after every couple of rides. I use a copper head gasket and you can't blow out those and they are reusable. I also had the oversized head studs installed and they hold torque much better. As for porting, I have one done by CT and my alchol turbo Zilla motor is by Tudors preformance. I like Tudors work better, but CT has a much quicker turn around. As for pipes, if you play in the sand go with the CT outlaw pipe, the silencer mounts in front of your left foot and the exhaust exits downward. If you ride wet conditions then go with the paul turner, or FMF pipes. I also recommend a cool head, I use the high compression race gas dome, with 112 octane leaded gas mixed at 50 to 1, the lead is a lubricant and lets you lean your mix. I use mostly laeger, and lonestar parts for swingarms and a-arms, they are a bit pricey but well worth it. I have a slue of take off parts if you happen to need any. I hope this helps enjoy your ride. Oh by the way keep an eye out on the rear shock resivior mount, I have had every one of mine break and i now back them up with a bead of weld.
