about to buy an Eiger
#1
Hello all, I have checking this board out for a month or better now trying to learn about all the new machines. I took an Eiger 4x4 man. for a test ride today and really liked it,lot of power, smooth ride, pretty easy steering etc. I have not seen any bad posts about it other than the recall and the somewhat awkward hi/lo/rev shifter. I take this to mean they are pretty good machines. I haven't been on an atv in over 10 yrs ('90 Honda 300).All my buds have Honda's and say I should get one too. I like the Eiger because of the features vs price. So how are the Eigers holding up out there? Thanks!

I bought an eiger manual 4x4 and so far I love it. Rides real smoothe and the power is great. I only have about 44 miles on it so far.
The h/r/l range shifter can get a little stiff when the bike is first started. After the oil gets warmed up everything moves much easier. It also helps to hold the foot shifter all the way down (this releases the main internal clutch system) when moving the hand shifter.
I paid $4500 cash out the door.
The bike looks good, runs good, starts easy and has enough power to tug me around.
Check one out.
