It is very important to keep the brakes clean on the Vinson. I was cleaning mine up after a dirty weekend of riding and could not believe all the crap stuck in and around the calipers. I ended up pulling the wheels and calipers off and sprayed it all down with the hose and then brake cleaner. The rear will squeak like crazy until you get it complete clean. Don't put too much blame on Suzuki if you don't keep up on the maintenance. Another thing to consider, the aftermarket may have better rotors that clean easier.

 

The Vinson i got is a 2003 though, and i heard they fixed the rotor problem on them, so i'll see when i get it.

 

I got my vinson 5 speed in March. I have about 115 miles on it. I have'nt had any troble. The machine is awesome.
