big problem..

Default big problem..

hi i have a 2002 yahama blaster i bought it a week ago and it needed a thumb throttle and it ran with out it first kick it started then i put a thumb throttle on it and i rode it 4 about 20 mins then it was hot and kept dieing on me it died 2 to 3 times but started right back up but the last time it didnt start then the next day i cleaned the carborator and put a new spark plug and also new fresh gas nuthing happened, then the next day i messed with the wires where the headlight is and it started[but it has a aftermarket headlight spliced into the old wires with the old bulb was stil there so i took it off and then taped the wires] and then it did the same thing died 3 times and wont start i tryed the same thing the next day and it didnt do anything please help me before this thing catches on fire by me please help thanks.......

check and make sure the spark plug coil is on and not justsitting on the spark plug

You might wanna copy paste this into the yamaha section and you will get more help.

Do you have spark?
Whats the compression?

Sounds like you ran it lean and it got hot and you lost compression.
