Default Towing a trailer

He said that he has had to raise his price twice in the past 6 months, due to the price of steel going up. Also he only makes these up to a 6x12. I only need a 5x10...

Default Towing a trailer

Metals over the last year and especially the last 6 mos. have gone through the roof. I work for an electrical contractor and the cost for copper wire has been insane.

And lets not even talk about PVC pipe...

All depends on where you live and what kind of quality you're looking for.

As far as your truck being able to pull it, this is a little amusing to me simply because most people are the exact opposite, they think just because they have any truck at all, they can pull anything they want. I've had guys show up in a Dodge Dakota and pick up four 18' extra-wide flatbed trailers, a full 7,000 pound load, then drive them from western Kentucy to New York. Other similar situations have happened several times. So for somebody to be concerned about a single axle trailer pulling their four wheeler with a V8 supercrew... wow, that's a new one. As for the limited slip, unless you plan on four wheeling in your truck with your trailer hitched up, it doesn't make a dimes worth of difference.

What WILL make a huge difference though, is whether or not your boards are screwed down. Man if those boards aren't screwed down, then your truck will blow a head gasket and leak transmission fluid and your quad will fall off. This may be what you're planning, but it would be alot cheaper to order your trailer with a set of new tires already installed. The tire store will charge like twice as much then charge to throw away your old tires.
