My new projection system has been the ticket for watchin movies We had 21 people over last saturday and it felt like we were at the movies with the 106" screen. I have to hook up the HDTV to this puppy so we can view TV on it

I'm traveling now so I can't be sure but I think it was from Infocus. 2000 lumens. The picture quality is better than I expected and my kids and I think it's better than at Best Buy where I purchased the unit I got a pretty nice screen and I was told that helps.
The screen pulls down but if the ceiling wasn't so hard to deal with and I had your money (or Hoss') I would have gotten the electric model for the total bling-bling effect Gotta keep up with those cribs on MTV

Here's one for a giggle. It's a joke. Old Plymouth Arrow pickup (Dodge D50/Mitsu Mighty Max) with '04 OutBack 28RSS "in tow."

Pic (It goes into the car pulling TT class.)

man i HATE it when ya post the most clever, witty reply, and then the #%^&* screen displays the "page cannot display" thing. then it won't allow you to re-post. and yes skinner, i tried to cut and paste to a new reply, but it wouldn't do that either. AAAARRRGGGHHH!!

okay, what's CFN Toyo? we're Canadian and we speak english here, you been hanging around too many of them socialist queers in the PNW and yer losing touch with reality.

hoss, you spoiled turd. your wife could give me half the quad and get twice the man in return!! the Kawi 750 is supposed to be bullet proof, best bang for your buck quad.but hey, you stick with those POS Poland-laris'. sorry, it is your new xmas gift, so i shouldn't say bad things. I'm lucky if my wife cuts a hole in my pocket so i have something to play with on xmas morning, while I'm cooking the turkey.

you guys got COLOR TV?? in our igloos, we have b&w 13". "Looosie, looosie!" those huge projection screens are cheaper than forking out for a 50" widescreen aren't they?

LJ and just4, good to see yer back.

You MUST be using Windows.

Most likely CFN is Cardlock Fuel Network. It's a fleet fuel station chain. Usually they are just a station, not even an attendant anywhere around (unless it's a regular station that's part of CFN.) Around here, some of the ARCOs are CFN stations.

No, I'm one of those Linux using terrorist/hippie/commie people. Well, at home at least. XP Pro at work. It's actually pretty stable for me. Dare I say better than Win98. (We won't mention the successor consumer POS to Win98). Running Fedora Core 2 at home on the desktop. Have an old RedHat 7.3 box setup as the router/firewall/mail/web server and a RedHat 9 machine set up as a quasi server. It's only serving some files (15GB drive so not much to hold right now...mainly the 4 ISO images for Redora Core 3) and the printer (HP LaserJet 1200...I don't need no stinking color! How much does an inkjet cost to print 2500 pages? I'm just now at the end of the ORIGINAL cartridge that came with the printer...4 years ago when the 1200 first came out! Cost about $55-60 at Costco to get a replacement...though we have a 1200 here.... ).

When I get off my duff I'm going to do some major reworking of the network: router will change to IPCop 1.4.x. One NIC will go to the ADSL Modem/Internet. Second NIC to the LAN with a hub (I'm out of ports as it is currently...only 4 ports but have an old (10Mbps) 8 port hub here I may take home.) Third NIC (need to add but have one) up to the WAP11 (Wireless Access Point). LAN will be available to the WAN via VPN (if I can get the turkey to work!)

Going to rebuild a box into a server. Have a PIII-600e/256MB RAM (might be 512, but I've got more to put in anyways )/(2)6GB HD, (1) 15GB HD, (1) 3GB HD/CD-R/W. Thing is I'll be out of IDE ports...so it looks like I'll need an IDE controller in there as well. Might move an 80GB (or 40GB) drive from the desktop over for storage. I'm going to end up with a lot of video files if I get the Replay. Then I can just burn them to DVD on the desktop. I might make the move to Gentoo or Debian on the server, though I'm thinking I might try out WhiteBox or Tao (open distribution based on Red Hat Enterprise Linux.) My boss is actually waiting for me to mount a laptop to the Warrior...that thing would be destroyed the first trip. Hell, the GPS can't take the shock...let alone a computer with a spinning HD in it.

Probably also add a dedicated MP3 (actually I'll be using OGG/Vorbis, etc. but most people don't know those formats) player hooked to my receiver (AMD K6-2/300 / 64MB RAM (I can add more there as well)/4.3GB HD. Then hopefully I'll be adding a ReplayTV. I work hard(ly) and I want a new toy! That WinTV just isn't cutting it most of the time. The composite-in usually shows up nicely, so I'll just run the audio via the receiver with the video through the composite-in on the WinTV.

if yer rite about the CFN thing, then how'd Toyo get there when we were talking about OIL?! crazy brain scrambled cowboy.
Maybe they do oil changes up there. I don't know. I just know that down here CFN is Cardlock Fuel Network. We'll have to wait for him to clear that matter up.

(Wouldn't you know it....I had to actually copy & paste THIS post. Sheesh. I dumped it into word...came out just over 1 page long. LOL)

on the CFN (Commercial Fuel Network) We was talkin about fuel stations.. and i believe that is the you dam canadians have no multi-tasking ability. Chevron Oil in all the diesels from boats to tractors to Pickups In my lil ranger i use Castrol syntec blend 15w40 for 4x4 trucks. its all a marketing scheme but i can say this. 150k miles and it still dont burn a drop of oil. (I also used the same oil in a '90 geo metro for 300k miles and didnt burn a drop in it)

On the projectors, if you have a stereo and a satelite or cable box its not a bad way to go. our projector is 2500 lumens. its a bright sum of a biatch. our projection surface is a magnectic dry-erase Whiteboard. its 14'wide and 5'tall. of course the projector dont fill it cuz i cant get enough distance. In normal 4:3 aspect it makes the screen 5' tall. and you can write on the white board when brainstorming and writing narratives and crap. works well for teaching too. then when i get bored i use it for movies Gettin a satelite reciver in here too so i can watch FOX news all day while workin bout dam time i know
