Besides that, you give wrong information. BRP just has the fastest ute. All the other utes are about equal in top speed. Also, i dont think many people have speed in mind when building a utility quad. AC is far from slow

Areyou the same person who sad you could go 65MPH or something unbelievable maybe it was 70MPH .The only way you could get your AC over 60MPH would be if a outty was pulling it.

V2 Rider is right. Hardly no one, if anybody, (talking about the common person) has speed in mind when buying a utility ATV. I love AC. They have alot to brag about themselves. I do wish they would make more of their own engines, but thats coming. Just give them time.

And brpbear, that you have all this brand loyalty over Can Am lol.. They have nothing, NOTHING, on anyone except speed. NOTHING. You need to understand that. Obviously it really offends you. Their Visco lok is second class, their styling is horrible, their skid plate protection sucks, and their frames are incredibly weak compared to Polaris, AC, and maybe Honda.

And like V2 Rider said, you dont even give out correct information. AC is not the slowest on the market. You've turned a decent thread into nothing but brand bashing. Oh, and last, you better love that "speed" all you can, because for '08 Polaris is coming out with a 795cc H.O. EFI built from KTM and then Bomb will have absolutely nothing lol.

So does speed mater or or not and as far as an AC going 70mph your full of it.The comparisons between AC and other brands that I have read say that AC are the slowest of all the ATVS that they test. If I'm wrong please post the the article that sad that AC is not the slowest so I can see it.

that KTM motor will blow the rotax out of the water.

Polaris should just put the 4stroke 135HP 750CC turbo sled motor in there sportsman 800. then being a 750 and calling it a 800 wouldent matter

So, can anyone answer this question for me? What has brp done for the atv industry? I think its pretty bad when there utility has less protection and no more rack capacity than a scrambler 500. (With the racks added, didn't want to hear the comment bout them not having racks.) It may be a bit faster granted. The 800 will run what, 70 or a little over? How can the brp's even be considered a utility to begain with. When being compared to other utility atv's they are less capable than nearly anything out there. I would compare it to a scrambler or maybe a wolverine. I think brp has the power plant to put in what could be a great ute if they would put there mind to it. And how can brp be compared to other brands in longevity? Maybe since they are one big copy cat of basiclly every other atv out there put together (nothing new) then you are basing the reliability of all the others? Come back and talk about them in say 10 years when they have earned the respect of the atv industry and went through some of the hardships and design flaws that all the rest have gone through. They are babies in this business as a major contributer to the atv world. While all of us have our favorite brands I personally respect all brands for going out there and taking the plunge on an idea or design. It humbles them when they have to go back to the drawing board but makes them stronger in the long run. When brp does this they will gain my respect. Until then they are just another brand copying the ideas of others and get there piece of the pie. But, what do you expect. The yellow belly french can't be trusted for anything anyway.

All I'm tiring to do is save lives buy tell the true about popos down hill performance. Lets take about Polaris and their great frames I twisted two of them in the four that I owned as far as brps frames they did have a few problems with some of the frist ones.As far as VISCO LOC goes it can't be to bad if they won the mud Nationals, and the pulling contest at the mud Nationals. AS far as Polaris having a 795ccHO.efi what took them so long.I hop its more reliable than their low tech push rod engine.

Have you put the same hit with your brp's as you did to bend the frames on the Polaris? Polaris has the thickest frame in the industry. Chances are that if you bent a 10 guage frame then you would have bent the frame on any other atv. Unless you think that some how 16 guage steel is stronger than 10 guage? Have over 20,000 miles on one of my atv's and just got a new one and starting to break it in. How many miles are on your brp? I've got the reciepts for all the repairs and services that I have ever done to them. The old one is a 99 and the new one is an 06. When your brp gets 8 years old and has 20,000+ miles on it lets add up and see how much repairs cost. We'll see how well the "low tech" engines are doing then.

By the way, my low tech engine is has less than $125 dollars in it. A water pump seal, thermistat, valve cover gasket, and a heat sensor.
