Some belt drive ATV's have a light on the dash when ur belt starts slipping, the light is called a "belt warning" Thats comforting to know when ir out in the woods 20 miles from nowhere, huh? In the operators manual it states when the "belt warning" light comes on bring ur atv to a full stop and shut down the engine and have it repaired by a qualified belt drive technician. Translation: shut it down have it towed home, bring it to ur dealer and he will gladly install a new drive belt with a parts and service bill for about $300, what? under warranty? is the belt under warrany you said? NOOOOOOOOO ha ha ha I can't warranty the belt you abused it! Will that be cash, check or credit?

 

Wow, belt warning? I am not like you, I only know Polaris, but I've never heard of it! If they had a under aged kid detector, you would then have to ride the suggested PW50

 

i carry spare belt in my box and have never needed it. all it takes is 15 minutes, socket, extention and ratchet. way easier than a clutch pack in your Eiger, huh? hahahahah

i never knew you had to be a qualified technichan to change a belt!?[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-shocked.gif[/img][img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-confused.gif[/img][img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-tongue.gif[/img][img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-wink.gif[/img] [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif[/img] heck i thought it was an easy process like pull a cover and screw a bolt into a pully and slide the belt off and slide(or sand) a new one on. oh wait the most technical part about it. make sure the belt is going to be rotating the correct direction. spin pulley until it tightens and clicks.then repeat installation instructions in reverse.......?? sound hard to you?

 

don't even gotta pull the clutch on the brute. just the cover, pull the belt down the secondary and roll it off. i did it once to change springs.

I said "Qualified Belt Technician" !!!! Every dealership must have and employ factory trained qualified technicians as a requirement to have the right to own the right to sell brand x atv product. Each Tech is factory trainned on seperate items covering the repair of ur atv, like electrical systems, brake systems, fuel, and so on, one tech is factory trainned about the belt drive system, he is the only one thats qualified to change and adjust the belt. You know when you guys repair or replace the belt yourself you just voided the warranty and the extended warranty that you paid $800 for and after you changed the belt yourself then you just shifted any liaibility and saftey problem responcibility to ur own-self and the dealer and brand x atv companty is no longer responsible or liabile for ur saftey on ur atv. What that means is suppose you installed a new belt by yourself then ur climbing a vertical cliff then ur belt breaks then you fall off the cliff and you hurt yourself and you cry for ur momma, then you can't take brand x atv co to court and sue him to pay for ur hospital bill.

 

Oh, but the part about not going on an incline more than 35 degree angle has nothing to do with exempting "x" atv company from liability?
