I know there are hardcore brand people in every group but this is my first time buying a new quad in over 10 years and my other quad is a beat to crap 95 suzuki king quad 300cc??
my cat rides nice with alot of clearance and the power is decent but I have yet to really drive it as it has 1 mile on it and I added 3 tonight so I want to break it in nice.
wound it out once for a short spring and it hit 80kmh.
low end is there but wont wheelie like I wish it would..... the mid is strong and top end I think will be around 80 to 90 kmh
where aRE good places to go and see my cat 400 reviewed up against some of the others??
thanks
shayne

Google "ATV Reviews" and you'll find quite a bit. There's one site called powersportsnetwork.com that has a LOT of reviews and allows you to compare tons of different models side by side. It gives a lot of good, honest, real-world reviews.

thanks for the link.
I have been riding alot and love it!!
would like a little more bottom end to hone my wheelie skillz and maybe a bit more top end but then again it is not a 2 stroke race quad.
seems to go through everthing I find and with my bad back the ride is smooth so I can go for hours and still keep the wife happy....

AC's aren't really wider than anyone else. Most come in at the 48 to 50 inch range and my buddies Griz leaves no more room in the back of my truck than my 700EFI does.
AC's have excellent ground clearance and so feel tall. Even after dialing the preloads mine still feels very tippy and unsure of itself, HOWEVER, no amount of abuse has yet to even come close to rolling it.
So for all the feeling of instability, it doesn't carry out on the threat. I remain planted when I am sure I'm pushing it too hard.
AC's take alot of flak over that tippy feeling. But it's not nearly as bad as it might feel at first. Stock tires don't help either and I'm buring through mine as fast as I can to justify buying an aftermarket set with tougher sidewalls.
Can't speak to the 400's because I've never ridden one. But if it's anything like the 700 it will take you anywhere you point it.

400s are a great machine. our family has 03 400 04 400 05 400 06 650 v2 06 500 07 400. all great machines. the 400 hangs with the 500 off the line in a drag for a ways. i dont think its worth the $$$ to up to a 500. we cut wood to burn also and haul a truck box homemade trailer packed over the top full of wood up a 50-60* angle hill no problem. as far as width they are no wider than anything else. they just have more aggressive styling so it looks wide. cant go wrong with the 400 though unless you want to race. youll enjoy it for sure.
