I've also had good luck with Rocky mtn. I got my xt30 when they first came out, though, and at that time tweety's had the best price.

I also saved a few bucks and went with a KFI mount plate. It appears to be at least equal to the quality of the Warn mount I put on my Foreman, only it was much cheaper.

I think I mentioned that the wireless remote is wonderful, and it's cheaper to buy the XT30 than it would be to buy the XT25 and upgrade it.

I'd also do the boat trailer roller thing, if you plan to run the hook up to the fairlhead (as opposed to hooking it to something else).


Lastly, a buddy of mine got the Warn accessory kit, and I got the Tusk for around half the price. The Tusk's tree straps and snatchblock appeared equal quality, but the Tusk's bag was nicer, plus it came with gloves. He later also bought a Tusk kit. There's room in the bag for an extra 10' tow strap and clevis....

 

I forgot to mention, the extension for plowing some people run is just a few feet of nylon strap or synthetic line that they hook to the end of the steel cable so that the synthetic line is what is flexing back and forth around the fairlhead rollers as you run the plow up and down.

If you repeatedly bend and unbend the steel cable in one place like that, it doesn't hold up.
