In Max's defense, There were alot of negative responses and some were not even trying to be delicately put. Everyone here likes what they own and thinks it is the best or they wouldn't have BOUGHT it. The Max 6x6 sounds cool if I were near the coast or REALLY liked the mud. I personally like trails and sand dunes. But hey, cut the guy some slack a couple of the responses were so long they should be submitted for copyright. That would tick any of you off too getting ganged up on like that.

Again we hear of the AC 500's superior Torque
and H.P.

Again as I have mentioned B-4, I've seen no
Real evidence of it.

The A.C. ads claim greater Torque, not H.P.

Dealer who sells both said Grizzly, both H.P.
and Torque(His Words not Mine).

I can remember when test Driving the A.C.
the Semi-Independent Susp getting kind
of tippy in some situations, bottoms out
easier too.

Not Saying the A.C. is at all a bad Quad,
on the Contrary it dose have a Smoother ride
than the Grizzly, and is by no means a weakling.

Design Engineer, you once stated "Yamaha is
Known for speed nothing else" or somthing
very similiar.

Yet in all the "Bike Of The Year" Articles
I've Read for 1999 it seems the CBR600RR and
the Hayabusa(Fastest stock bike made) were
Always the Worst lap time's recorded, yet the Fastest times were always recorded by the
YZF-R1/R6, and that is also the word on the Real World Street, Track as well!

Mag and Real World M/X, Dirt Bikes again for
99 and looks the Same for 2000 YZ, YZ-F Series again, Shootout Top 2-Stroke vs Top 4-Stroke, YZ250 vs YZ426. no Suprise there.

Great Day

In defense of Max6x6, CT250R?

Perhaps Alan Dershowitz or Johnny Cochran, at their standard rates, on the Webster Hubbel/Hillary Clinton/Vince Foster Rose Law Firm billable hours system.

Max6x6, for months, has trashed all other machines besides his vaunted Max, trashing their riders as well.

Max6x6 insinuated himself in any discussion; want a sport quad? Buy a Max! Want a utility? Buy a Max! Question, which is better, Grizzly or Sportsman? Answer, buy a Max!

I have nothing against the Max and recognize its unique capabilities; further, I'm not offended by anyone loving his ride. However, I dislike being called a sub-human intellect incapable of tying my own shoelaces or coming in out of the rain, merely because because I didn't choose to buy a Max myself.

So, while some posts about Max6x6 may appear harsh, they may not be without provocation. Anyway, defenders of Max6x6 may be scarce, because of his intolerance.

Y2Kodiak, Torque is the amount of power a motor produces and Horsepower is how fast the motor produces this torque. I just got a 500 Quadrunner and I used to ride a buddies Grizzly and with no favoritism I can say that the Grizzly is a good quad but I feel it lacks in torque compared to the 500 Quadrunner. I was going to buy a Grizzly just for the fact that it's big but then I remembered how I don't like autos and the problems my friend had with his 2. His electrical wiring caught on fire a WEEK after he them on one and the other had 2 belts put on within the first 4 months of owning them. The only reason the other didn't have belts go out of the tranny were because he sold it after the dealer fixed the electrical system. I chose my quad because of the power it has, speed, 4 wheel drive capabilites(3 Wheel drive if you want to get technical) and the looks. I have only be able to ride it in the snow since I got it 8 days ago and I've been up some pretty steep mountain terrain and I haven't got stuck or had problems getting up anything. The AC 500 is a great machine too but I just prefered the Suzuki's look but I do wish my quad had a rear disc brake like the AC. No quad is bad (other than Polaris) so it's really just a little bit of difference in power between the biggest, baddest quads out there and whatever you decide more than likely you'll be happy with whatever you pick. Heck I was happy with my Banshee as a mudder until I decided I wanted to be able to go through the deep stuff, snow, and be able to haul stuff when hunting.

Did you also know that?

Torque is also called Twisting or Turning Force.

Horsepower is also described as a unit of
Energy, one Example H.P. X .746 = equalvalent
in Kilowatt(s), I.E. a NSD DTA98 Ad, claimed
93,509 H.P.@97R.P.M.'s and also stated the
European rating of 69,758 K.W.@97R.P.M.'s,
There are also equations to convert both to
Btu's and other units.

By the way Theoretical H.P. is calculated
using P.L.A.N./33,000.

As for Polaris. I Wholeheartedly disagree with your "No quad is bad(other than Polaris).

As far as I am concerned, without the 500 Sportsman there may not have been any Big Bore Utility Quads, posessing great longer
travel suspension, and good/great handling,
and the Scramblers are still the epitomy of
what a Hi-Po 4x4 should be.

If you would have read my post, you should have seen "His words not mine".

The Dealer in ? sells Honda, A.C. and Yamaha.

Do you own a Dyno? or any other performance measurement devices?

"I Feel/Felt" is not a real measurement.

Case in point a Friend of mine 50+#'s lighter
than myself, felt his CBR600F4(slightly warmed up)was faster, quicker and could pull
a better lap time than My YZF-R(Stock),
He even brought along a Cheezy rag to "prove it".

We went to The Drag Strip/ Race Track at
Brainerd Minn 4X along with numerious
back road encounters, and 4X(I have the Slips to prove it, both areas Drag/Track)
I ran away from him, to further prove my
point I ran against others on the Same
make and did also unto them.

As far as we go our Drag Skills are equal,
track and road race i'm a little better.

To Cane with all this talk, and to Blazes with what the Rags say, a lot of talk 'round
here and no action.

You and your Quadrunner500, Me and My 98Grizzly(stock, yours should be also)

When and where?

Great Day
