Default RINCON vs 700 SPORTMAN!!!!!

Only if it's Bald !!!!

It's kind of funny that the Honda forums are all buzzing with the news of HL's disc brake kit, guess there are Honda owners who don't want the drums. Maybe Honda will catch on...
I'd like to try out a Rincon or even see how it does out on the trail. It's hard to judge a quad (even though I do it sometimes) from Magazine reviews and forum posts. A person really needs to swing a leg over it and head down the trail... Anyone want to loan me their Rincon for an afternoon?

"swing a leg over it and head down...." You aren't still talking about that bald beaver, are you?

Why did you edit that? Now my post doesn't make any sense! Oh well, Bald is better.

Changed it back, if a moment I thought I should edit it. After seeing your post I re-edited it.

Regarding "squat" you will not see the squat factor on an IRS machine untill it is moving. Sitting still under load doesn't say much.

Exactly, as I said before my experience with these bikes is first hand by riding them and riding with them over a lot of miles, not from seeing one on a dealership floor or just regurgitated information someone else has given me.

Ok, I see you are going to cling to this one.

Bottom line: You are saying the Rincon will out haul the 700. (out haul.....handle loads better = same thing) I know what my 700 will do, and I have a hard time believing that without seeing it...hence my offer to pit the two against each other.

Other Rincon/SP700 owners: Is this true??? Will the Rincon out haul a 700??? If so, I will crown the Rincon the king of ground clearance maintainabilty myself.

I'll be shocked if the Rincon carries loads better than the SP700 but if does it'll be impressive. Hopefully someone will post a few comparison pics of the two.

The sp700's that I ride with seem to squat (as well as the sp500's) One 700 "squated" so bad that it
wore a shinny spot on the muffler. I know that when the rear end gets hung up the wheels will hang down
and clear the obsticle, but when hitting bumps the suspension will bottom out quicker.

the sp700 goes 72mph (past the 70mph on the speedo) The p650 doesn't go that fast.

Text the fact is................everything that the rinny can do, the 700 does much better.
What are you a f*cking comedian?

I wasn't sure on the top speed so I didn't make any claims that a Prairie was faster.

The 700 is a strong engine and may very well take my Kawi on top end but in 100 yard drags it just isn't up to par I get the holeshot and finish first.

What? Friends of mine who own SP500 & 700s have never had a squat problem like what you've described. In fact a couple of them ride 2-up without any ill-effects. My first question is if the suspension was adjusted for the additional weight. Secondly I'd like to see a photo out this "shinny spot" muffler. Have you really seen this on just read a post on some forum?
