Default Sold the old Honda :(

Finally realized it was time to part with it and let someone that could ride it more often have fun with this old 92 model. Has 5563 miles on it.I was the second owner, got it from an older geezer than me 11 years ago that just had 2900 miles at the time.Only 2600 miles in 11 years, arthritis and dexterity not as good as it once was, decided it was time. Gonna miss this old 23 year old bike.

What was it, a 650 Night Hawk? I remember those they had the Hydlulic valve adjusters.

750 Night Hawk. Yes had hydraulic lifters,no adjusting valves which I really liked. Not a speed demon, only about 70 hp,but a good city or country bike to get around on.It's still in my garage because of all the rainy weather in Texas lately.New owner is picking it up Saturday.Coming from San Antonio.Gonna miss this clean bike, hard to really find another one like it,but better that it goes to a good home and this one was on a retired aircraft mechanics "bucket list" of cycles he wanted.

I would of though more then 70hp.
I had a 1981 Kawasaki KZ750LTD and the manual said it was 74hp and a 1985 750S Nighthawk blew by me like I was standing still on the highway.

In 1985 the 750 Nighthawk looked like this. In Canada they were 750s but the States they were 700s for some Law reasoning.

The older Night Hawks were the best! Crazy law that any cycle 750ccs or over paid a penalty back then.EPA went crazy during those years. Honda just said screw it and dropped the engines to 700ccs for a couple years. Had 6 speed trannys instead of 5 on the 1991-2003 models, plus had a good instrument panel and shaft drive! 6th gear was an over drive. They were the most refined Night Hawks and clean 84-85 models go for a premium price. Think the law was dropped later. Same thing as in 1980-82 all speedos could only show 80mph? Government thinking that would slow people down..Didn't help one bit, people just pegged the needle and kept on flying down the roads.

Very cool that it went to someone who will cherish it as much as you did.

Another law that came in the late 80s early 90s was a 200mph speed limit on the super bikes because the competition for the speed king crown was getting out of hand.
So they put a speed limiters on the big bad boys and they just turn the contest into "who could get to 200mph the fastest". LOL, it was nuts.
