Welcome TroynSteph
What quads are ya'll riding? Hope all of us can get one more big ride in before winter arrives. Remember the logging roads and the fingers are open all year, just the rocky, rooty, rutted, whoop infested, one wrong move and your down 100', hopefully you don't meet somebody comming the opposite direction, bike getting overheated, first and second gear trails are closed starting October. Don't get me wrong, I like trails, I think their a challenge, but they can wear you out real fast.
Hey Bing
Isn't winter when we tear the quads apart for cleaning and maintenance, and the repairs we've been putting off all summer? I rode my quad on the street with the new 42 rear sproket, can't keep the front down, talk about some torque, think about a 12/44 with 20's on the rear, wow, wheelie city.

I ride a z400 and my wife just got a z250 last weekend. So we are going to brave the dust this weekend, and go riding anyway. If anybody is looking for someone to ride with, let me know.

Nice to see different quads in this group, everybody rides something different, heck I think we're getting close to covering every make and model. Are ya'll new to quading or old pro's? Bing's one of the old pro's, given me alot of good advice and pointers just in one ride and via the forum.
I was planning on doing a very short ride this weekend at the Rock, just for jetting purposes, bringing tools and jets for testing. Because I'm not running an airbox presently, preparing for Sandlake in Oregon on the 20th, dust could be a major issue for me this weekend.
Keep us all posted, take care

Well it looks like camping is out for this weekend, Steph has to go in to work friday night and sat. during the day. But we will still go for a short ride on sun. Steph has been mending a broken leg from earlier this summer, so she doesn't feel like riding too long. Plus she is still in her brake in on her new Quad. We are still pretty new to the whole atv thing.

Steph, sorry to hear about the broken leg,,,,,no fun
anyone.... we would like to take a ride on sunday possibly. I have a days work on the scrambler (saturday) to get it back up to snuff,,,,and Julie is itching for a ride (local). Larry, It would be great to have a 'tuning' day,if you hear me. Anyhow, its still up in the air. I would like to make a 2 dayer out of it (do the tune up before sat) but we also have a lot of pre-vacation stuff to do (Hawaii for 9 days), so its just a 1 dayer if at all. We will probrably be primed for a ride the weekend of the 27th or the 4th of october,,,after getting back (hopefully the skies will open up before we get home).
welllll,,,thanks for the compliment,,,,but im only 30,,,and hardly a pro. I do like to pass along helpful tips if I can,,,thats all.
"LEONS GETTING LARGER", OK, well the group is growing anyhow,,,,,good to see it
We should set a date for 4-5 months from now (camping 2 nighter) (so, no excuses),,,and see how big the group can get,,,,huh????????

if i get far enough along on a project tomorow by 2:00 i'll head up to smokey point again to ride.
i dropped into graves motorsports today to shoot the breeze w/ jeff & see what's up...
for MX races the series at pacific raceways & oakwood may be over but there is the fall MX series going on at OPMC- olympic peninsula M/C, in port angeles( never ridden there so i can't say what the track is like) and the washington state championship series is still going on.
if i can get out of work, i'll go to the race at OPMC on the 21st.
