Dellanini, Sorry we missed you to This was my first time at Miami and I had a blast Where we were at, it had a little bit of everything Tight track, forest roads, light, moderate to TECHNICAL trails in my book Gorgeous views Like you said, can't compare big red apples and rotten old oranges. Hollister and Miami are about the same distance from my house. I would pick Miami over Hollister anyday B&R and Powerstroke were knowledgeable and great at showing us the trails and area I would suggest hooking up with them and giving it another try. rescue

BUDXXX, Thanks for your assessment on Hungry Valley. That is one place, we will be checking out in the next couple of months I was down there and saw some of the damge in the area, after the last storm blew through. Great to hear it's all good now

Yea, I'm not holding my breathe on you At least in the "one" picture you have, your not wearing a helmet but, standing in the shade of a door wayLOL

Had a great time at Miami this weekend. Thanks, B&R, for organizing the outing. Great to meet some good people and great riding. I took my ladyfriend who had a good time riding the Scrambler 500 4X4 while I made do with my V-Force on Saturday...
Stormin' Norman and I took our Scrambler 500s out for a bit of exercise on Sunday, after most people left. what a ride!!! Those trails are incredibly difficult due to all the rain this winter. Ruts uphill, ruts downhill, ruts on flat ground, exposed roots & rocks, mud holes, short straights with waterbar jumps, the whole nine yards!! I managed to roll my bike while zig-zagging through trees on a really difficult off-camber motorcycle (not quad) trail. Couple of trees stopped me and the quad about 20 feet down hill. Suffered two flat rear tires in the spill, one was off the bead. Fortunately, Stormin' had some CO2 that actually reseated the bead, but he didn't have enough for both tires. Not a problem; my All-Tracs have a stiff sidewall & we made it back to camp without further incident.
Let's do it again!!

Planning on going up to miami trails for the day 4-23. Most likely stage out of kamook(I think that was the name of the closer spot?) Youngest son is going, not sure about oldest yet. He really liked it and didnt get to ride as much coming up friday nite. Youngest son and i rode around with BRW on friday, sure cant wait until I know that place as well as he does. Thanks again for the tour BRW. Ive been way too tired(havnt sprung forward yet. brain still thinks ive been getting up at 1:30 am) to get a picture of the radiator and ship it to utah. Must do that today.
