We'll be at Pismo the 24-26th[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif[/img] Wish I was there when everyone else is. But family from out of state is coming in a little to late to make it Friday/Sat.

Seadog, if your planning on camping that weekend, I suggest getting reservations at reserve america They seem to be sold out every weekend over summer. If you haven't been there, visit their website and check out the tide tables. ocenao dunes
Recommend crossing the creek at low tide and camping above the high tide mark. It'll probably be busy. Also, 4 wheel drive is best and air down the tires on your truck and trailer. Helps you float on the sand[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif[/img]If you do a search on "pismo" or a variation of it, you will get endless help from past threads[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif[/img]

 

I showed up on 7-6-05, it was a wed. I tried to buy camping for thru sunday and was told that starting 2 weeks ago you can no longer buy weekend camping at the gate. It all has to be done thru the reservation service. The wife got on the phone and we had reservations before finding a place to camp.

I always go in at low tide just to have more beach to work with. I lower my 4X4 to20 psi in all tires and it works well, that and having a shovel for if/when you get stuck helps too.
