Glad to hear that you had fun. How was the weather? Any terrible winds to complain about?

Everybody is looking to get away from the heat and they are heading to Pismo. We'd go to if it would fit into our schedule!

Regardless of the "Zoos", bet you can't wait to go back, right!?!?!

We're likely heading back August 19-21st.

Are there any motels? If so what can you do with you're quads?
There are a TON of motels in the area as Pismo Beach is a huge tourist town. How many are going to be trailer friendly, hard to say.

Cities nearby:

Grover Beach
Oceano
Arroyo Grande
Pismo Beach
Shell Beach

Collectively they are called "Five Cities."

Heading over this weekend. It's always a zoo this time of year. My buddies are shaving their head into mohawks and/or dyeing hair. Talk about zoo. They'll be camped over THERE <---. I'll be over there ---->

The dunes werent too bad if you were in the back.

But yes, the beach was a MESS.

It was fun but it was really torn up. I really dont care for pismo when its like that. Or is it always like that??? If so that sucks.

NO It's not always like that! Everyone is looking to escape the central valley heat.

Yes, it gets busy, but no, it's not always like that.

The key to Pismo when it is like THAT is to watch who you might be camping next to I try to stay away from young adults or a lot of 2 strokers To much noise and I don't really care for 2 stroke oil smell When we are riding, I stay away from large groups that might mingle in the same are. We either stop what we are doing and let the riders hit the dunes around us once or twice or just move on ourselves. When it comes to the tide,we usually camp high enough to where it's not a concern. It is a concern though, when the kids want ot walk the beach. We just play that by ear depending on time of day/number of riders out and about.

Nope, not always like that. Power, will have to hit it in the fall, winter or spring sometime. It's not too bad before Memorial. Sand still has some moisture in the Spring...but the winds...OI! Winter you just have to do a little wading if it's been raining.

I'm with RD...hate the 2-stroke smell. Finally, someone else does.
