CALIFORNIA Quad Riders report here.....
#291
Clear Creek is a riding area managed by BLM in the Coast range NW of Coalinga. Rugged, rocky, steep. Lots of good trails, at least there were last time I was there 3 or 4 years ago. Don't ride there in the dusty summertime - asbestos in the soil is a health threat.

Baldmike I'm not tired of HV just looking for different places to ride, will go to HV when it is cooler. Quadman I have heard of the asbestoes also was told if going there go after first rain but don't go when it is too muddy because the mud will stain your plastic because of the asbestoes.

havnt been on these forums in a while and didnt bother looking to see if anyone mentioned anything about the stanislaus county fair..
theyre hosting a quad race, and i was wondering if anyone was going to try it out.. if you dont know what im talking about go to www.ampracing.com
there is an entry form and a minimal amount of info..the race (in case you didnt figure it out) is in turlock on the 7th of august (this saturday) if youre not interested maybe you should check it out.
im bringing my 400 but im not sure about racing.. i am going to do the practice laps too just to check out the competition..just to see if the 400 will be up to a challenge of the newer liguid cooled, higher displacement quads.
if i feel that it will provide me enough power to compete against them then im all for it, if not ill be ion the stands
i got kinda carried away there but check it out guys it seems like fun to me, and i i talked to a guy named john (a local racer) and he said all you need to bring is your bike, gear and yourself.. other than that just show up at the gates and sign up, they provide the number plates
