Is Hungry valley open,it is my understanding that do to the rain we had a few weeks back they shut it down, because the rain washed out some roads and did some damage to some camp grounds. If anyone has an answer, please let me know.We are planning an Easter trip either to Ocotillo or Hungry valley

That is such a bummer. I would love to head down there and meet up with some of you in so cal from atv connection. I have been there twice and really enjoyed the riding and camping.

Hungry valley is well worth the drive, I live in Banning, where it is about a 3 hour drive, but its all worth the traffic I hit going through LA to the 5 freeway. I make the trip at least 3 or 4 times a year. If it is open I'll be there over easter weekend. we stay at the flats almost at the exit of the park.I'm keepin my fingers crossed. If not I'll be at Ocotillo wells. Its only 11/2 hrs from the house.

I live in newman, it is about 3 1/2 to 4 hrs for me to gorman. Not the farthest i have traveled to camp/ride. Never been to Ocotillo wells but Im guessing it is 8 to 8 1/2 for me. Kind of over my limits, maybe some day.
