Are the sand pits in the south east part of lmf part of the trail system? Also wondering about the powerlines from fish hatch to the pits. Iam not to familiar with the southern part of the trails. When I would park at the fire pond I would just go north and east. I have no gps and didnt want to get all turned around and lost.

You shold be able to take the powerlines from fish hatch right into the pit. If the power lines are passable.

I'll show you Saturday morning.

Troy and I tried to get there through the powerlines. You can get close but it gets way too steep. There is another way around. Also, according to LMFT powerlines are not legally part of the trail system anyway. If DEP catches you on them they ticket you. I know, sounds crazy just telling you what the club says......
