Getting freezing rain, and everything has a clear glaze on it! Tonight it looks eerie with the street lights reflecting off the 6'' of snow still on ground.
Same here, just starting...what is that street light thingy...here in the country we have yard lights and outbuilding lights but street lights? Must be a city slicker kinda thing!! Lol. ...
You country bumpkins down there, No phone, no electric lights, having to still use chamber potties....but dang that's some real good hog back and pigs tails, that we see being delivered daily, on semi's coming up from Ho-hi-ho! lol
My sidewalks were bone dry until 4 PM when just a little bit of freezing rain hit. I did some grocery shopping a couple of hours after that and my windshield iced up while I was in the store. I started up my truck and by the time I got all the groceries loaded in the back the ice was melted. Now at 2 AM it looks like there's 1/2 inch of snow and it's still coming down. I heard the weatherman 4 hours ago say to think of any type of precipitation and we'll get it.
I came home at 10:00 PM to 11°, a plowed driveway, frozen pipes, hungry ingrate cats and a warm cozy trailer.
Forecast is calling for 7° tonight, that meas 0° or lower.
Long day for me and today is going to be another long day.
I see your street light there, above your abode Kenny, lol where you might have many more city utilities than this Kymco 450isome dude, here on this forum, that lives way south .... in the boonies.... of the big city of Toledo, where he claims they have to live mostly in the dark, possibly using candles to illuminate their way out to a.... outhouse? Maybe we should start up a collection to help get them some power lines, way out there, in their boondocks, so he can at least heat up his.... commode in a shack.... toilet! lol Not even one street light! How sad is that lol
Feel free to take up all the collections you can, the more the merrier! You city folk seem to have all the money anyway, payin them high city taxes, for a postage stamp size piece of property and able to buy all them fancy new machines, you know....that backwoods cadilac you got? Yep we country folk dont have much but wide open spaces so we can go for a ride whenever we want, no city folks tellin us we cant! Be lookin for them donations to be commin along any day now!.........Lol
You poor man....needing a heated toilet seat....we'll see what we can do....you try to hang in there, there are north Koreans even offering with donations lol Hopefully one day you can move out back into civilization again....we got street lights!! lol
My son Paul, that owns Wallside windows lol here in Taylor, Mi (a little plug for the window co) says were supposed to get a foot or more of that white fluff next Mon-Tues This is what I need before we get more snow!

Reason: this is what I need!
I had snapped my winch cable plowing just before I would have had it all finished. Waited a day because it was 2 degrees on Monday. Weather guessers said it would be mid-20's yesterday so I went out after lunch to work on it. It was more like 10 degrees and I had to take my gloves off for a couple things. Didn't take too long but my hands were throbbing by the time I got done. Ran in the house to warm up my hands. Tips of my fingers were kind of bluish/purple. Man, I hate how it feels to thaw out your fingers after they go numb....
Its a balmy 40 deg today but back to finger freezing again for tomorrow on, for a week or more! Hate thawing too, but its the thawing of our 8'' of snow, I hate the most lol
