17 Day Trip Help Glamis/Cinders/Coral Pink
#1
My friend and I are starting to plan for a 17 day trip that will include Glamis Ca, Cinders in AZ, and Coral Pink in Ut.
We are plan on going April 6th to the 23rd.
We know the Cinders and Coral Pink might be a little chilly that time of the year, but we don't mind the cold..
Can anyone tell me anything about any of the 3? What kind of stickers do we need at each place? Are there noise restrictions? Anyone ever do this trip?
We have also talked about ditching one of those 3 in exchange for Little Sahara in Oklohoma, but we really can't make our mind for sure..
Any bodies $.02 would be welcomed..
Thanks
Brad

I'm from Pa. and made 2 trips to Glamis last dune season, thought that I'd comment.Utah is way out of your way and will consume 2-3 days of extra driving time.Altho I hear the dunes there are great.I will go there someday.Lil Sahaha is along the way and they charge a daily fee for duning, its cheap enuff, they have a nice camp area and nice toilet/shower.Glamis is great (i'm flying out for prez day) all you need there is your valid state sticker,,HAVE A GREAT TIME!!!! If you're going to Coral Pink and are coming way of I-70 head 90 minutes to the north where I-70 meets I-15 on 15. You'll be close to Little Sahara, Utah. Use Delta Utah as your destination on Yahoo maps. Coral Pink is about 5 hrs form there. Or if your coming I-80 it's on the way along w/ Rocky Mountain Atv at exit 252 on I-15 to buy some goodies! Out of state stickers will get you in here. You really should not miss Little Sahara, Utah if you're coming this far already. I'm doing Coral Pink, Dumont and Glamis March 15-24th. You'll need stock pilots, clip in #3 or four spot and 160-165 mains here w/ your mods, air screws 1&5/8ths out and 2.25 out.

The cinders are alot of fun. Dont take your best paddles there though you'll probably loose a couple of chunks out of them. The Weather shouldnt be too bad there, plenty of wood for a fire at night. The only restrictions I believe are that you have a spark arrestor, they dont even require a flag. Check out http://www.glamisonline.com for info about there. Sounds like fun good luck.

You had better enjoy Glamis while you can-Thanksgiving weekend there was a shootout and 1 guy was killed-5 guys arrested. This place is getting too insane for normal people to visit.BLM and the idiots at the sierra club will close this place down when "not if"they get the chance. That might not be a bad idea-but then those a-holes will show up at my riding area and screw that up.Oh well, have fun.

OK..
now I really have an issue, 2 little sahara desert in the good ole USA?
One near Delta Utah, the other near Waynoka, OK???
And these are 1000 miles apart?
OK.. now I know why I'm so confused.. I was originally talking about the one in Waynoka OK, most of you are talking about the one in Delta, Ut.
OK.. we're gonna add Delta Ut to our trip, and then next year maybe we'll try the one in Oklhoma.
So many places to ride.. only so many vacations days. Please god, let me prove that winning the lottery won't change me. <grins>
Thanks to everyone for the info..

You might want to consider hitting Dumont also (west of Las Vegas). If you are going to do Utah, it is on your way south. It's a bit of a detour, but not real bad for someone who is driving thousands of miles anyway. Bring you cross-country tires too!! There are thousands of miles of great cross-country riding in the desert.
