Next month a few friends and myself are going to Utah and ride the Paiute ATV Trail for 5 days. On the way back one of the guys wants to stop and try to find lost gold in New Mexico. He says we should look in the Cibola National Forest. Yes, I know it will be a waste of time, but if we can ride the ATV's while doing it, it might be ok. As I understand, it may be hunting season then. I called the forest service in the area and they said there were no atv trails but we could ride most any where. She did say any hunters would not like us around and the rangers would stop us to see if we had our hunting license. I am asking if any one knows about riding atv's in this area and in mid September.
