Most all the beer cans I have seen left laying around have come from people in trucks or other rigs. If you look real close next time you see a pile of cans you will notice most times its where someone cut up a downed tree for firewood.
I have never been out on a ride and seen someone in the group toss down a pop or beer can.

Not arguing with that, lots of people throw out their cans, but up there, you can't get a truck and the cans are there. Could be people on motorcycles, or atvs. Bottom line is they are there and the landowners are upset. It sucks that the actions of a few affect the will of many. Maybe we can talk them into having the run a little later in the year and riding the south side of the freeway, so the snow won't be a problem. Hope to see everyone there this year and enjoy it, could be the end of a great time.

Last year during the poker run weekend we rode into lake elsie on the deep snow.
I have been riding with Rockman and his wife in the deep snow all winter.
Deep snow is some of the best riding you can do.

Just a short interruption here, but I just wanted to say that in the new summer edition of "ATV MAGAZINE", there's a good article about riding Rathdrurm Mountain. I tried to find it on the internet to post a link, but didn't suceed, sorry. Guess you'll have to go to the super market with the ol' lady and lurk around the magazine rack for a few minutes.
You may now resume the battle.......

Got a copy of the Mag the other day. Yeah great article. On one hand it's nice to share with the rest of the world what we already now, what a fantastic place to ride we have here. But on the other hand, the secret getting out. One of these days I'd sure like you to show us around up there Wiz. Rathdrum is one area I haven't been yet and I'm anxious to go.

Yah, Rockman, I know what you mean about the rest of the world finding our "secret places", especially after reading about all the poker runs being canceled because of damage to the land and littering. As more and more people become ATVers it's important that they learn to respect our riding areas and learn to work with the stewards of the land instead of partaking in some of the damaging practices I've witnessed the results of.
I plan on running into you next Sunday at Bunco and having my application and check made out to the “North Idaho ATV Club”. Although I won’t be too active in the club, I know how important it is to show our numbers in organized clubs.
Speaking of Bunco, a few of us made the run from Bunco, over the top by the overlooks and dropped back down to the Happy Hermit yesterday. That route has been bulldozed out at the top, so the snow isn’t a problem. The other route that drops down into the valley hasn’t been plowed and would present quite a problem in the soft deep snow.
Hope to see a bunch of you guys next Sunday at Bunco. I think I’m bringing the Rhino, so don’t be bashful, come up and introduce yourselves………..Wiz

That was a good time yesterday Wiz, glad you could make it. The Duck club is a good bunch of guys, even if they do let me hang out with them sometimes. The day turned out pretty nice, and we never had to choke on the dust. Too bad you missed the turn and didn't get to play on the beach with us. Of course the highlights of the day were when my little Vinson had to pull out the Grizzley and the Sportsman from the creek. Love the sound of a wet belt! Brady sure took it well, almost took the fun out of razzing him. The best part was when I came up with the new catch phrase for Yamaha, "When you ride a Grizzley, the view never changes!" as we all looked at the back of the Vinson with the tow line hooked up. Can't wait for next weekend, it should be a fun time, and hopefully my boots will be dried out by then. Hopefully Chris will have his pictures printed up pretty soon.

Well I think we're heading out again today. Went on the late night ride up to Spades last night. Man there is still alot of snow. We almost made it all the way up 28, there's a couple of spots towards the top that proved to be a great challange for us "Snow Riders". Man I love the deep snow at night, nothing else quite like it. The snow is still a good 5ft deep at 5000. The biggest challange was navigating all the ATV eating tree wells.
