Nancy, Sprockets should NOT be sharp. They get sharp when they are worn out.
With the exception of clutch work, (Clutches sometimes take specialty tools) and maybe the valves, I would do all of it yourself. Spend the seventy or so dollars and get the official Polaris shop manual and I'll guarantee you that you will be able to do the stuff yourself next time. I know you could because you are smart.

Hey Viper I think your mistaken about CDA being owned by Allsport. I have bought a machine from both of them and one was willing to compete with the other. I would much rather go with CDA Polaris. I have bought more than one machine from them and frankly, I feel they are real good to deal with...at least from a purchase perspective. I have never had to have my bikes serviced...so I can't comment on that portion. I can say I have heard a lot of good things about MASH also.

Sorry to hear of your troubles Nancy. However, I think it's great you were able to correct the situation.

Speaking of Suzuki...got a question for one of you. I sold my Quadmaster 500 to a friend a few months back. I'm not sure but I think the belt is slipping on him? When he takes off, at times the bike lets out a sound that...well sounds like a seal. Like the kind that swim in the ocean [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif[/img]

The machine runs fine. It's just the sound, which is starting to become more frequent. Has anybody had a problem like this, and if it is a belt, anybody know what something like this costs to fix?

I'm not sure where CDA Polaris is, but if it's the one right by I90 on the south side of the freeway on the west side of CDA, it is owned by the same guy as Allsport.

Hmmm. Well I wonder why one store offered to beat the other. Really wouldn't make a whole lot of sense to compete against themselves. I guess stranger things have happened.

 

800twinEFI...it's part of their game. I had been to CDA Polaris pricing the 800EFI and then went to AllSporst to compete on price...I was sitting in the showroom then walked into the office where the sales person was talking to CDA Polaris on the phone! Make no mistake about it...same guys. I will say this, the guys at CDA Polaris were great to work with, a very good environment for buying a new Quad. I didn't get the same feeling at Allsport...a little less friendly. No problem, it's probably what happens when you have high volume of people moving through.

Like you Pastor I didnt get a good feeling when I was in Allsport. Buying a atv there i felt uneasy but other stuff its ok. When I buy something big I have to feel at ease and if i dont im gone...
