Hey Bro. Ragged...I am getting quite a bit of heat from the kids about doing the 7 mile thing...there is a good posibility that is where we will all land tommorrow. However, If I get my way...(which is doubtful...you know what I'm saying...) then I'd like to get up on some of that property above thompson creek....Have a great day with your family tommorrow!

Hey Pastor, How was Thompson creek? We went to Rathdrum Mt. and had a ball. Had lunch up on the mountain. Robin seems to like her new toy! I wanted to trade for a while but she wouldnt give it up! She did a great job for her first time riding in the mountains! Now we need to hook up for a guys ride!

Ragged...Had a great time riding yesterday with Zack. Found some great little spots on the Idaho side of thompson creek. I was somewhat dissapointed that they had closed the road that went to Mt. Spokane. I don't know why. I hope there is another way to get in that area ecspecially for hunting as there are some HUGE whitetail deer in there. Zack was a llittle apprehensive about going with old dad. He was on his dirt bike and me on the quad but he totaly enjoyed himself as I did. My nieghbor across the street was talking about Moses lake...I ve heard much about this place . Why don't we give it a shot next week? Tell Sis. Robin that all of us here wish her a very great Mothers day.
See you at church...Pastor.

Hey Ragged,
Ya wanna be careful riding up there on inland paper's land around thompson creek road. And on top of that, there are a few other real jerk landowners up in that area too!!!! We have been run out of there a couple of times so we don't ride in that area anymore. Inland posted most all of their land but I've heard rumors that if you get a "pass" from them you can ride on their land. Let me know if you find out.
For Memorial Day we are going to go camping & riding at the Winom-Frazier OHV Complex, which is located on the North Fork John Day Ranger District of the Umatilla National Forest which is about 12 miles east of Ukiah, Oregon, which is about 60 miles south of Pendleton, Oregon. Will leave on Thursday the 22nd and should be back on Monday the 26th. We've never been down there but I taked to the Ranger Station down there and they say they have some real good riding. They sent me some maps with the trails and campgrounds marked. There are about 4 small campground that you can ride out right from camp to hit the trails. They allow camping at other places too. There is not water available and ya gotta pack out you garbage. They said there was still a good bit of snow in some of the higher elevations but plenty of riding down lower...that was about 10 days age. So far there 4 of us going........(my wife and I and another couple that we ride with) and you are welcome to go if you are interested. Are you married? Got kids? If so do they all ride? Kids are okay with us. All of ours are "outta-the-house" now!!!! Drop me a line or give me a call and let me know.
Started to give you a call yesterday (Sunday). The wife and I went for a little short ride. Left our house and rode over to and around Hauser Lake and back home. Mostly pavement riding but just had to get out!

Hey dual-sporter, ragged, nicki and the rest of you guys,
Moses Lake........been there done that. Its ok but if ya want some BIGGER DUNES ya need to drive a little farther and head on down to Pasco, Wa to the Juniper Dunes. MUCH bigger area and MUCH bigger dunes. Doesn't get as crowded either 'cause its bigger. Several sets of dunes. Lotta whoops in some areas. Can camp there too but no water, no shade and only a couple of outhouses by one of the parking areas. Can get a map from the BLM office in Spokane on Fancher Street. We have been going down there for several years. Like Moses Lake or any other dune area, some of the dunes have "drop-offs" on the backside so be careful. Last trip down April this year), one of my buddies "end-o'd" his need 700 Sportsman. And naturally it landed right on top of himm. was ok through but busted up the rear rack and busted his thumb-throttle. It was the last day of the trip so we just came home a little early. His was more embarresed than hurt. There are dunes of all sizes so riders of all skills can have a good time. Stay off of the surrounding private property and stay out of the " Wilderness Area (marked). The BLM and cops DO frequent the place. Like I said, you have to drive a little farther to get there but to me it is worth the drive if you just want dunes. Take Hwy 395 south out of Ritzville .....good fast road all the way. Really isn't that much farther than Moses. There is a back-way in but the road is narrow and winding and though it may be a little shorter we think it takes about the same time so we opt for the better road. Let me know if you need more info. Oh yea! Then there are the dunes at Coos Bay, Oregon and if ya want REALLY REALLY BIG DUNES ask me about the dunes at St. Anthony / Rexburg, Idaho!!!!!
