Hey AZSAND thanks for the beer & to see what a built ds could do! Finally made 100 dollar hill on the bomb with the 150lb rider had to mod the intake to the carb though. Chicken hill was ok but the ones in the crater are alot harder. I'll stick to the banshee alot easier and cheaper to build.

I was there camped on 777/776. I had my 03 (02 red raptor @ 4sw is sold) I did run into a group from ABLQ,NM they had a yellow jeep with fan problems,I stopped and offered a ride/ back to camp.

 

A yellow jeep with black tiger strips? Yeah we saw them as well & yellow 400ex they made it back.

Mine and speeddmns are built by the same shop, but not built equally. Speeddmn has more port work all the way around. Like someone else said just cause its a 420, does not mean it should put the fear of gawd in people. Its still depends on porting for your type of riding. Will my dune built 420 beat a full blown 350??? NO, nor should it, 2 different uses.

I WILL be at the drags next week, as i fear my racing from a few weeks ago is being misconstrued as my 420 is a weak motor or not comparable to other 420's. I have shoulder problems so i could not hit the whoops hard, so i ran maybe 8 times all day. The big four stroke that was there was fast, and we were about even, but his is not a dune bike, mine is... Thats what I wanted to have built, a dune bike. I can go from the washes, to comp, olds, China wall, to gecko and back to the washes on one tank of gas. MOST of the fast four strokes can not. Wait till my Tri-Z gets done, then Ill have drag bike too!!! Then we can race for some CASH, if you so desire( you guys know who you are!).. Apples to apples baby. But for now, ive got a weak motor... LOL

4.I have 'dermamotomyotosis' i require a 1000 mil of steroids to get out of bed each morning. 1000 mil at lunch and 1000 mil at dinner this is just to function at an acceptable level .If i wish to compete in any event i double my doses if i miss any two doses i end up in bed for at least a day and this is the truth so what were you saying about a trick shoulder and nasty little bump's ???

 

Im making excuses for my wuss *** riding a few weeks ago. Basically being a baby. On a groomed course I feel much more confident that I wont dislocate my shoulder by hitting a whoop.

And yes, If your bike made a dune run, you are NOT included in the drag only class, of which i dont think that the Bed Down Crew is part of. You guys all dune! At least the 3 that I know of.
