Default pipe and jet my warrior

I have an 87 warrior that runs pretty good, thought about putting a pipe and jet kit on it. Would this be a bad idea since it is so old, and has never been rebuilt? Any info appreciated!

Sounds good to me, although it probly wouldn't hurt to freshen up the top end.

a pipe and jet kit will wake it up. You will be able to tell if it needs a rebuild. Blue smoke is a killer on 4 strokes, it means trouble is coming. There shouldnt be a problem with you piping and jetting it,

Is there any kit you would recommend for a Warrior? I haven't had any blue smoke, yet. I'm really impressed on the power I get from her, especially because of its age, but I gotta have more! Fast is good!

vin389785,

from what I've collected from other forums, if you get a pipe you'll have more flow and will need more gas to compensate. Jet kits are pretty cheap, and are easy to install, from what I've seen. Check the forums, there's a few how-to's on re-jetting.
