And there's a difference between a lie and a statement that is slanderous and defames someones character. If someone were to say or post something like that about my bussiness they would be getting served papers right about...now. For your own good you really should be careful about making statements like that.
You made a post in the other thread after the issue over the 101P casting # was resolved so you had to of seen it. Go take a look.
Yes his STOCK rod did break and has broke on quite a few engines, from piped and jetted to built engines from many different places. I can't say for sure if the person who's rod broke was aware of others breaking but I think it's pretty safe to say he did and chose not to replace it, I probably wouldn't have either. You can't blame the people that sold him the parts and machine work for that.

About building a 727..I know first hand it is damn expensive..to do it RIGHT. My 727 runs great! I am extremely happy with it and don't regret building it at all.
I did try to ride it on 14mins MX track last weekend..and it was a damn handful. The bike tried to run away from me when going over the jumps..but it did well in the straights LOL.
The fact that everyone that rides it...doesnt want to get off of it...lets me know that Bob and I had to do SOMETHING right when building this thing LOL.
As for reliability of the big bores...I run with 14mins, crafty, dollarbillz, and RRTX's 686's every Sunday..and they don't ever work on them, unless they are rejetting or changing sprockets. I don't see them being any less reliable than the stock motor. My 727 has also been great so far. Aside from tuning the FCR's, I havent touched it, except for a new cam and retorquing the head. Let's all focus on beating those damn bomb's and quit arguing. I know we'll have our hands full with them at the natiionals..but I think a Raptor will win it
All I have to say is..build what you feel most comfortable with..whether it be a $1600 686, or a full blown 727. Either way, you will be happy..as long as it is done right.

You should not have trouble starting the 727 or the 686 but you will still have trouble with the one way and the higher compression has the potential to cause the problem more often. The reliability may or may not be that big a deal; a lot of the reliability part of it can come from how well you maintain your bike. Change oil and filter regularly and keep valve adjusted correctly and either one should last a long time if it is jetted properly. Slim

airraptor, I think you need to look again at how fast trinity's dune banshees are. I'm out at glamis on every big weekend and I don't ever see trinity's dune banshees beating any of the fast dune bikes out there. I personally have lined up with several of their so called stage 4 kits and they were not even close to a play ported banshee with stock carbs and pipes from KENZ cycle tech. The fast bikes on the hill seem to be mostly D & M racing and Kenz bikes and some ESR bikes. I think trinity may have had some of the faster bikes at one time, but not anymore.
