Getting Screwed on the 450 sport quad Pricing?
Supply and Demand, YES I understand the concept..........BUT the consumer doesn't "have" to pay that.....and I won't, so they just lost a sale. Yeah shopping around I'll find a better deal, and of course I can always go out and buy another Predator for $1500 LESS than the new 450.......
For those of you who haven't seen a predator in action, it's a dang good quad, proven by the fact that I beat 4-5 different Raptors and different riders up Comp hill at Florence Oregon Dunes. Sure it was neck and neck, and no I didn't "blow them away"; but the predator hauls *****.
I'm really just looking for a quad for the wife that has a smaller narrower seat, like the new Yamaha 450, but at $8500 for it at the local rapist dealer, I can buy TWO 2002 400ex's for the same price.
Sorry Lynnwood Yamaha, Homey Heapster don't bend over.

If you live anywhere near L.A., LA Yamaha does not add any fees on besides tax and reg. their website is layamaha.com , when i went to buy mine here in san diego the dealer had all those prep and delivery fees added on, i showed him the LAyamaha price and eventually they met it. i was paying cash and also bought a Raptor 50 so maybe that helped. Those prep and delivery fees are stupid, all that stuff is included in the MSRP.

My *** is still sore from my dealings with the local Yammy dealer. I didn't even get a reach around!!!!!! I had to pop $8500.....out the door for mine. But, I have to say that it was worth it, because my 450 kicks some serious ***. I cant wait to get it to Glamis in October!!

To avoid getting raped, I'lll just wait for the "used" market on the 450 to begin in about 2-3 months. When Junior brings home the bike and nearly kills himself on it after 2 hours. Parents will be putting it up for sale quickly - just like some of the Predators when they first came out. Pay $6k, no tax, set-up costs, with minimal set time, save $2,000. That's the deal
