YAMALUBE 4? TRANNY OIL?? Need info.
Which is the best grade of Yamalube 4 tranny oil should I use in my 2000 model Yamaha Blaster? Which would perform the best and be the best protection? The quad runs like a new one, sounds like a new one, performs like a new one, and looks like a new one and I would like to keep it that way. What have you used and what was the best.

There is nothing wrong with the yamalube 4 10w30. You where asking about what people thought was the best, and the 4R is a step up. it coats the gears a little better, and allows for smother shifting etc. It is just a step up from the standard Yamalube. You won't have a problem either way.
The 4R will run you about $7/qrt
The yamalube 10w30 will run about $3.50/qrt

I run nothing but Motul 20/10W-40 oil with a K&N oil filter and have had nothing but great performance and shifting from my Raptor and excellent clutch hookup! Best part is, I beat on my 2001 Raptor and the tranny is holding up fine with that setup and smells wicked too! It's a semi-synthetic blend and works great winter or summer!
