big problem
#1
i got a yamaha warrior and i went to go and change the swing arm bearings. But once i got the nut off to the linkage bolt i went to go and pull out the linkage bolt and it wouldn't come out. Then i tried turning it thinking it was just rusted in there but i found out that it was bent in there. so what would you guys suggest to do to get it out of there. thanks

pounded it with a five pound sludge hammer, didn't budge. I dont want to hit it real hard, don't want to bend the frame. You think i could drill it out, hydraulic press what do you guys think.

Pritty much it means its never coming out! lol Its a long bolt and on the inside it skinnyer and there is metal all around that part so it WILL NOT slide out or in unless alot of forse is applyed. it will turn but wont slide. I AM not saying the worriors is tapered but it could be. You can get it out. you could drill it, or just pound on it untill she breaks loose liek i did once. Im pritty sure you can buy an aftermarket bolt that isnt tapered, but I AM NOT POSITIVE. You should look into this more and see if they do sell one that isnt tapered and if they do you can distroy that bolt and buy a new one.
looks liek []===----===[] kind of. Picture that only metal.

Ran into the same problem before, just had to spray with penetrating oil and keep walin on it with a hammer until it comes out. You will have to buy a new bolt which runs around $30. Might try an air chisel if you got one.

thanks alot for the help guys, ill try to find an air chisel but i think i might just brill the bolt until it reaches the swingarm then hopefully the swingarm will drop out then ill try to pound out the the rest of the bolt. Well if all else fails ill just take it to the dealership.. Thanks
