CDI on a warrior
It's the "brain box" for your ignition system.
What does it do? How does it work?
Way to complicated to explain in detail here, but basically, it amplifies the current from the electrical system to a higher output going to the spark plug.....enough to operate the engine. Ouput from the stator alone is not nearly enough. It also controls your engines redline limit.
How much does it cost?
It will depend on your local dealer's markup over MSRP, but the CDI has a suggested list of $296.56
If you look for one used, only the 1997-2001 models will work.
Don't try connecting one from another year or you will be looking at buying more electrical parts than a CDI
