Everything bone stock? Well this is an honest experience but I drag raced a Scrambler with my Wolverine for like 200 yards or so. The scrambler was about 1/4 a quad length off the line but by the end of the run I was 3/4 of a quad length ahead. He had about a 80-100 lbs on me so we switched quads I beat him off the line and the Wolverine took me on the Scrambler by 1/4 of a quad length. And a Warrior is almost the same quad except no 4 wheel drive so more power and speed plus an extra gear. In reply yes i'd say a Warrior is more fater than a Scrambler. (I didnt like how the Scrambler felt either) Actually I think a Warrior could punish a Scrambler on a 3/4 of mile stretch.

I know you prolly think that since this is a Yamaha forum im siding with my brand but im sorry to say I dunno what the person that replied to that Polaris forum post was thinking. Like I said I DO know this. Cause I have tried this. Oh and the Warrior is faster and quicker than the Wolverine if that tells you anything. What do you guys in here think a Scrambler 500 beating a Warrior??? Im sorry but from MY experience i DONT think so.

We did that race.... Warrior should win...

The polaris is how many hundreds of pounds...700?

It's for the farm...not the drag strips.

(had to edit....The scrambler weighs a bit over 500 lbs not 700) I confused the two models. We raced a warrior against the sportsman....the sportsman had no chance. But look out mud..thats one powerfull quad

I have a 98 Warrior - k&N with proflo adapter (outerwear), pro circuit t-4 pipe, 6 one inch holes in airbox (filtered), 12 tooth front sprocket, Pure Sport Realtor tires on rear, rejetted perfectly.

My cousin has a 00 Wolverine - K&N with 6 one inch holes in airbox (filtered), a couple well placed holes in stock muffler, and a recently added torque stuffer from white brothers.

I weigh 245lbs my cousin 160lbs. We have dragged race 100's of times. Before he got the torque stuffer I would pull away from him in any gear. I can hardly believe it but now he stays side by side with me after just adding a torque stuffer.
It's a little dissapointing that my Warrior just won't just blow him away.)

The wolverine is a very FAST 4x4. The wolverine is a comfortable ride if your carrying a passenger ( his son usually rides with him). My warrior just doesn't have the shocks to live up to the riding I put it through and start fading pretty fast. My warrior really halls *** on mountain trails and through 3foot snow with ease. After gearing it down to the 12 tooth I can now putt through mud bogs and deep streams.

The Wolverine will not dissapoint you in performance. However,, I have raced a Scrambler 400 4x4 w/clutch kit and pipe. It blew me away everytime. I just test drove a scrambler 400 2x4 and it was alot faster stock than a Wolverine or a Warrior.

you know like i alwys say, straight line mean nothing to real atv users, in the rough a Scrambler 500 4x4 would make a Warrior look silly. I have Owned a Warrior though a decent ATV, in the woods it is no match for a Scrambler which is not 700 lbs. Go race a guy in the woods with mixed elements not a smooth straight line to accelerate. Trust me the Scrambler would eat it up and spit it out. I can eat a Warrior up in the trails on my big ole SP.

ROFL I spose you like the other guy in the Polaris forum only lose to a Banshee by a matter of 2 quad lengths? ROFL Im sure some of the banshee guy's out there could straighten this out for us. Yeah sure i'll beleive a HUGE honking 500cc 670lb (whatever it is) machine can out run a nimble 350cc's! LOL Give me a break I would be willing to bet a 300ex would slap you silly on a tight woods trail! Well you could win if maybe he accidentally stalled and you ran him over!

I am the guy that barely loses to a Banshee. My friend has a modded 300EX. I will tell him to check this post out & he can tell you about racing a Scrambler. Where do you come up with 670lbs? Are you confusing it with a Sportsman or are you just talking out you a$$ ???
