Help Warrior, alba parts not running right
help guys! just got my warrior together and I took it for its first run today and like 1/4 to 3/4 throttle its breaks up bad, my mods are, alba 450 lift cam, 10:75:1 je piston, alba titainum valve spring kit, all new seals, forged connecting rod, rebuilt bottom end, white brothers 36mm carb, k&n with outer wears no air box lid, tourque stuffer, smaller front sprocket, gutted stock pipe, my alba one is back ordered, it runs very rich, alba told me the stock jet in the carb would be fine, but I just dont know, and I noticed alittle fule coming out of the bowl over flow, help guys anything will help anything!!!!!!!!!!! I got alot into this thing I just wanna ride it, my quad is a 1987 by the way, and I did check timming it seemed on , but I could not get the stock idel out of it I get to about 1800 and it dies, runs good at like 2k, plz help guys!!!!!!!!

Was this carb on the bike before the mods? Did it run ok? If you have fuel coming out of the overflow you have a float/needle/seat problem and the level in the bowl is getting too high. Have you had the bowl off the carb? Have you checked the main jet size and what type it takes (mikuni/ kehin)? What happened to the factory mikuni carb?
I just went to White Bros site and they sell the Edelbrock carb, is that what you have? The edelbrock carbs do not have jets, they have a metering rod that adjusts the fuel mixture like a Lectron. This is great if that's what you have, they are very cool carbs! Go to Edelbrock.com and read up on how to make adjustments on it. Edelbrock also has some of the best tech support out there so your good[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif[/img]
