Does any body know anybody who knows alot about running Nitro and alcohol in a 2 Stroke motor? I was planning on running a 20% Nitro and 80% alcohol. Any help would be appreciated.

I talked to one guy who ran it once, and i though he said he something like one tablespoon to 5 gallons. But he also used some other additives and stuff in there too. I ahve know idea where his jetting was. I also know he said it would rust and corrode the spoon just by putting it on it for a couple of seconds...do you really want to run that in your motor?

What about alcohol??

If you want to trash your quad go ahead. It takes special equipment to use nitro. You better have viton o-rings in the carb for starters. Nitro will eat regular rubber o-rings. Secondly, the specific gravity of nitro is different than regular fuel. As it has been said before, EXTREMELY CORROSIVE!!! Third you have to retard your timing accordingly. There is quite a bit that goes into the use of high performance fuels. Unless you are sure of how to mix it and have the equipment to properly make it work for you, you are asking for it.

Rachel, you're new here so I will give you a few pointers. Any post with the word "Blaster" in the title or username is to be read for comedic value only. It is not to be seriously replied to. In fact, it is my opinion that the ATV Connection staff posts "Blaster" messages just to entertain the rest of us.

So, what do you ride?

LOL, thanks, I'll remember that. I ride a warrior. I was real close to buying a 400EX but the Raptor appeared on the scene and I am real into finding out as much about it. I hope my next bonus check will be enough to get one. I have to wait until march to do it so I hope it's worth the wait.

Wyo, she can't help it. I've known her for about 2 years now and she is a brainiac. You'd never suspect she had all that in her head, especially when she's dressed to go out. She probably knows more techy crap than some of these engineers who build these quads. She is a serious engineer from the word go. I'm glad she decided to take up riding. She can use the outlet.
