Default Throttle sticking on new banshee... NOT good.

NEW TO ME.. that is.

Its a 97' and it runs like a champ and performed flawlessly at pismo this weekend.

BUT.. the throttle kept sticking at about 1/8th. Not WO or anything, but scary nontheless.

It has an aftermarket thumb throttle.. and both slides are being held open.
I got a little wd-40 down the throttle cable from the thumb, and up the cables at the slides a little bit.

It did good for about a half day, then slowly started acting up again.
Ive had the shee for about 2 weeks, and in the dirt around here it has NEVER done it.
BUT.. the moment the fires burned at pismo.. it did it.

I could NOT duplicate the problem at a standstill.. ONLY when actually rolling.

Any ideas are appreciated.

ps. Having a KX500 to beat on.. and coming from a quadzilla (among a few others) this is a GOOD thing.
the banshee starts on the FIRST kick every time. hot or cold.

Try to use a cable lube instead of WD-40. The WD-40 is not good for cables, it gums up after awhile.
