Default problem with a warrior

I got warrior for a cheap price and it has a problem. When I crank it up it dose not idle also it dose not rev up it just wants to stall and it back fires when you try to rev it up. It has a cobra pipe and I thought it would need to be jeted. But I heard it would be fine without it.I also cleaned the carb and changed the plug. Also I heard it is not getting enough air. what do i do Thanks guys

I think you may still have dirty carb. make sure you strip carb completly and clean. sounds like dirty needle jet.

Before you go taking the carb apart, try this. The reverse lever on the right side has two ground connections on it. Take the two allen bolts off the lever module an clean the frame around the first ground connection with a wire brush. The second ground connection is behind the lever held on with a small phillips srcew. Take that loose and clean with a wire brush also and put it all back together. I would bet a new carb that is what it is. Yamaha warriors are notorious for the electrical connections making that thing do exactly whats it's doing. The needle would have nothing to do with idle. The pilot and air mixture screw controls the idle in a carberutor.
