i have a why cant u run sythetic oil with a hot cam

You need to use regular oil for Piston rings and cam break-ins, as the cam has a phospher coating (to burnish/polish away any old valve cap scratches, if there are any)... synthetic oils are too slippery for the "wear-in" to happen propery

usually only during break-in can't you run synthetics....but....Polaris now puts Full Synthetic in all their Sportsmans....I have a new '05, will see how it does, would be interesting to pull it apart and check the seating of the rings, cams, etc....
