I dont see any problems with riding that far as long as you have people riding with you, and a cell phone wouldn't hurt. Just hope that the new raptor doesn't have first year problems like the 01's, it would suck to find that out on that ride.

You've pretty much answered your own question. If the Pred couldn't get through the swamp chances are the raptor won't either. Really sounds like you need a riding buddy.

Heck on a good day even my shotty modified raptor will cruise for 4 hours of run time covering a lot of miles, or just backtracking the same trails and dunes. That is as soon as I get all of the gaskets to hold together at the same time...

Any stock machine is going to be very very reliable on the trails and I wouldnt ever worry about one breaking down from normal use. Just make sure to do your scheduled maintenance like on any other machine and you will have very few if any problems for years to come.
