Clutch basket removal.

Default Clutch basket removal.

How do i get the nut off the clutch basket? It wants to spin the clutch.

Default Clutch basket removal.

I tried an impact wrench, but no luck. The "Boss Clutch" spins inside the basket.

try putting something really strong on it and it will hold it and will not move thats what i did

usually......or atleast it is this way on the predator......you can hold the clutch by a nut that is on the opposite side of the quad.....on the flywheel(there is a little plug that you take out....to access the nut)......


now I dont know if the quad you are working on is like this or not.....might be worth checking though....

Default Clutch basket removal.

You can pop rivet a steel and a clutch fiber plate together,slide them in and then use the impact.Or easier than that,you can take a small to med. towel ,start on one end and twist it then take a screwdriver and push as much of the towel in the basket as you can then use the impact.The towel will sure work in a pinch......By the way they do sell a tool for that
