My experience with my Warrior was that I built the engine I went with K&N airfilter a weisco piston bored .040 with raised compression a wild hot cam and a procircut exhuast, do you see anything missing. I didn't realize it either I had sone all this and completely over looked fuel flow I forgot to jet the dang thing It has a stock jet of I think 45 and I needed to put a 50 in it without out this I was running with my choke on all the time and when I wasn't giving it throttle it would die, plus this makes them run really hot which can warp your head and cuase a leaky head gasket on down the road.

I really hate this carb, I'm really thinking about getting the edelbrock. I've tried everything, when I warm it up with the choke on the header glows red. I think the pilet jet is too small. Anyway stock is 45, and if you stay with the Mikuni jet and needle, then start going up from there, buy a few of them. My guess would be somewere around 50 to 52.5, you got to play with it.

The edel would be the perfect choice. 400 dollars well spent!

i have a powerbomb, what does it mean when it glows red, i just thought that was because it was thinner than the stokc header

Here is a link that may help your jetting. Even if you dont use HMF. Remember Warriors and Raptor 350's are different. i know I have both shop manuals. Same engine but different carb and jets. Also note that Mikuni and Dynojets are different a 132 in mikuni is not the same as a 132 in dynojet.

Here is the most basic explaination

Upt to1/4 Throttle = Pilot Jet and Mixture Screw
1/4 - 3/4 Throttle = Needle and Clip Position
3/4 - Full Throttle = Main Jet

It could be just because it's constructed from a lighter metal, but it could be running lean also. Once you get it hot and the header is glowing, kill the motor, pull the spark plug, and look at the tip. If the firing tip is white then you're too lean, if it's tan your jetting is ok.

I wouldn't recommend pulling the spark plug while the engine is at a high temp. You can really mess up the threads in the head if not just completely pull them out with the plug.

That's what I do most of the time and it doesn't give me any problems
