Yes, I just finished installing and testing my key and I do believe it provides quicker throttle response and maybe a tiny bit of power. I am running without intake snorkel and I tested it with and without the spark arrestor. Definitely better without arrestor. It seems to spin tires at high speeds alot easier than before the key.

Now for the installation! I had to fabricate a puller for flywheel since no one around had one and I wanted to complete today. Then when you get the stock key out and compare to Sparks key you wonder what is wrong! The sparks key does not fit into the keyway in any direction but I decided to follow their instructions and proceed anyways. So I cleaned everything up reinstalled the flywheel with impact wrench and closed it up. You have to refill with at least one quart of oil if you drain the crankcase only which I did since oil and filter were changed recently.

Overall I think it is a worthwhile investment and if you have the right tools could be done in less than two hours.

Have fun with it ! I am waiting for my production version of header and silencer from Dustins which should provide up to ten more horsepower.

I am still looking for K and N air filter if anyone knows where to get them yet?

Do you think that sparks sent the wrong key since it didn't fit well in the keyway?.I had the same problem with mine.

The guy at the bike shop told me not to put the ignition advance key in my raptor because the size of the sparks key varied so much from the factory key.He said it was possible too shear the key off after it was installed or possibly wear out the keyway on the crank.I don't know if this is possible but it seamed like a big risk for a $15.00 part I'm sending mine back.

FYI: The CDI box that ron woods sells for the DS650 that eliminates the rev limiter, also has an ignition advance curve built into it - no key required.

I called sparks on Monday and they have sent me the wrong key said I would have the right one today to replace the 400EX key. That is probably what happened to you.

Ron doesn't make CDI boxes for the Raptor. I was just pointing out that there are other ways to get ignition advance other than a key.
