NEW GRIZZ... 700 FI

Kingquad is still the best bang for the buck. No doubt on that.
Looking at the layout of the grizzly stock it looks like its going to be real tippy again at only 46in wide and 49.2 wheel base and a seat hight of 35.6 in. Once you put aftermarket rims and tires and get the width out to 48 to 50 inches it wont be so tippy. I know they did some mass centralazation but still. With that said it would still be my second choice of the 700cc class with first going to Can-am 650. Thats because of my riding style and the Michigan trails cater more to narrow sporty quads.

Can-am and AC are having problems with there frames breaking. AC may have fixed there's already, but not can-am. I scratched can-am as soon as I seen that frame and heard about it breaking. All that power is not worth a dime if it has no frame to set in! Never heard of a yamaha having trouble yet, and they have been building atv's for a lot longer than either of the other two. Not bashing, just telling you the facts.

Outlander 400's were haveing problems with the frames breaking from the 03 and 04 years not the new models. The frames can and will get banged up if you dont put skidplates on it. Any atv frame will get banged up it you dont put skid plates on it and ride in that type of environment. Once skid plates are installed its a non issue. Stock they dont come with any and thats the biggest broblem.
The Artic cat 650 V2 is the one that had the problem with the frame breaking and mostly from 04 year. AC know longer makes the 650 V2. The new model frames dont have that problem. The frames that did break were replaced by warranty ussualy even if it was out of warranty.

And don't forget the King has a backup recoil starter, but also lacks the park feature. V2rider, have you raced a Kingquad? Stock to stock? It would have to be a close race , I think anyhow? I've raced a 2003 Prairie 650 with the CDI and 25" tires against my 27 " tires on my stock King and won. Also a 2006 Arctic Cat 700 with stockers on it also and won, but not by as much.

Well everyone's experience to their own. Am i correct on this industry rating, because a couple years back i know for a fact i was right #1Honda but declining #2 Polaris and then third yamaha. I kept readn people talking about yamaha grizzly reliability. Erm im not stompn on no toes but you folks probably flat out do not dish out the abuse and extensive riding my best friend (farmer) does. He has an '04 grizzly that has been less than reliable. When i tell you its had two engine replacements in 5450 miles i mean exactly THAT. Lemon? No, There are several other grizs 30miles north of us with similiar problems. It overheats like there is no tomorrow, Electrical wiring is not great, and even the digital display malfunctioned( gas gauge) Now with my '05 Kodiak its been in shop to replace all four differential seals, tie rods under recall, and other minor wiring aggravation. Folks can yap all they want but you dont beat Polaris Fuji four strokes and older Honda 300 engines, (not bashing ive ownd honda also (rancher) and so have friends). I like my Kodiak alright, its a very nice machine but leaves much to be desired, especially in power even for a 421cc. Im not even gonna get started on "Power steering", hit the damn gym people. I dont trust yamaha with that for one spit eyed second. Before i get asked about why im not goin polaris since i praise them is money once again, I want a Sp 800 bad, BUT for the money i can get close power performance sacrificing some ride and handling for around $1500-1600 less. My bud's griz is also tippy as my kodiak is baddd, its like the irs works more like a semi-independent but oh well its still a good machine. People are going to like what they like, so thats cool, but the only machine that my friend rode to a 100 PERCENT GUARENTEE over 10,000 miles with virtually no maintence was his Trx honda 300 4x4 the lil boring quad that could lol. Good riding yall
